Psalms 10:4-12

4In the pride of his face
Or  of his anger
the wicked does not bseek him;
Or  the wicked says, “He will not call to account”

all his thoughts are, d“There is no God.”
5His ways prosper at all times;
your judgments are on high, eout of his sight;
as for all his foes, he fpuffs at them.
6He gsays in his heart, “I shall not be moved;
throughout all generations I hshall not meet adversity.”
7 iHis mouth is filled with cursing and jdeceit and koppression;
lunder his tongue are mmischief and niniquity.
8He sits in ambush in the villages;
in ohiding places he murders the innocent.
His eyes stealthily watch for the helpless;
9he lurks in ambush like pa lion in his qthicket;
he rlurks that he may seize the poor;
he seizes the poor when he draws him into his snet.
10The helpless are crushed, sink down,
and fall by his might.
11He says in his heart, “God has forgotten,
he has thidden his face, he uwill never see it.”
12 vArise, O Lord; O God, wlift up your hand;
xforget not the afflicted.

Psalms 17:8-13

with their mouths they acspeak arrogantly.
11They have now surrounded our adsteps;
they set their eyes to aecast us to the ground.
12He is like a lion eager to tear,
as a young lion aflurking in ambush.
13 Arise, O Lord! Confront him, subdue him!
Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword,
