Psalms 105:12

12 When they were ^afew in number,
of little account, and ^bsojourners in it,

Psalms 105:23-25

23 Then ^cIsrael came to Egypt;
Jacob ^dsojourned in ^ethe land of Ham.
24 And the Lord ^fmade his people very fruitful
and made them stronger than their foes.
25 He ^gturned their hearts to hate his people,
to ^hdeal craftily with his servants.

Acts 7:6-7

6 And God spoke to this effect—that ⁱhis offspring would ^jbe sojourners in a land belonging to others, who would enslave them and afflict them ^kfour hundred years. 7 ‘But ^lI will judge the nation that they serve,’ said God, ‘and after that they shall come out ^mand worship me in this place.’

Hebrews 11:8-13

8 By faith ⁿAbraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place ^othat he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he went to live in ^pthe land of promise, as in a foreign land, ^qliving in tents ^rwith Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to ^sthe city that has ^tfoundations, ^uwhose designer and builder is God. 11 By faith ^vSarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered ^whim faithful who had promised. 12 Therefore from one man, and ^xhim as good as dead, were born descendants ^yas many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore.

13 These all died in faith, ^znot having received the things promised, but ^aahaving seen them and greeted them from afar, and ^abhaving acknowledged that they were ^acstrangers and exiles on the earth.
