24And the Lord fmade his people very fruitful
and made them stronger than their foes.

to hdeal craftily with his servants.

Acts 7:6-7

6And God spoke to this effect—that ihis offspring would jbe sojourners in a land belonging to others, who would enslave them and afflict them kfour hundred years. 7But lI will judge the nation that they serve,’ said God, ‘and after that they shall come out mand worship me in this place.’

Hebrews 11:8-13

8By faith nAbraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place othat he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9By faith he went to live in pthe land of promise, as in a foreign land, qliving in tents rwith Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10For he was looking forward to sthe city that has tfoundations, uwhose designer and builder is God. 11By faith vSarah herself received power to conceive, even when she was past the age, since she considered whim faithful who had promised. 12Therefore from one man, and xhim as good as dead, were born descendants yas many as the stars of heaven and as many as the innumerable grains of sand by the seashore.

13These all died in faith, znot having received the things promised, but aahaving seen them and greeted them from afar, and abhaving acknowledged that they were acstrangers and exiles on the earth.
