28 He ^asent darkness, and made the land dark;

Isaiah 50:3-4

3 ^dI clothe the heavens with blackness
and make sackcloth their covering.”
4 The Lord God has given ^eme
the tongue of those who are taught,
that ^fI may know how to sustain with a word
^ghim who is weary.
Morning by morning he awakens;
he awakens my ear
to hear as those who are taught.

Amos 8:9-10

9 “And on that day,” declares the Lord God,
^h“I will make the sun go down at noon
and darken the earth in broad daylight.
10 ⁱI will turn your feasts into mourning
and all your songs into lamentation;
^jI will bring sackcloth on every waist
^kand baldness on every head;
