Psalms 105:7-45

7 He is the Lord our God;
his ajudgments are in all the earth.
8He bremembers his covenant forever,
the word that he commanded, for ca thousand generations,
9 dthe covenant that he made with Abraham,
his esworn promise to Isaac,
10which he confirmed to fJacob as a statute,
to Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11saying, g“To you I will give the land of Canaan
as hyour portion for an inheritance.”
12 When they were ifew in number,
of little account, and jsojourners in it,
13wandering from nation to nation,
from one kingdom to another people,
14he kallowed no one to oppress them;
he lrebuked kings on their account,
15saying, mTouch not my anointed ones,
do my prophets no harm!”
16 When he nsummoned a famine on the land
and obroke all supply
Hebrew staff
of bread,
17he had qsent a man ahead of them,
Joseph, who was rsold as a slave.
18His sfeet were hurt with fetters;
his neck was put in a collar of iron;
19until twhat he had said came to pass,
the word of the Lord utested him.
20 vThe king sent and wreleased him;
the ruler of the peoples set him free;
21he xmade him lord of his house
and ruler of all his possessions,
22to bind
Septuagint, Syriac, Jerome instruct
his princes at his pleasure
and to teach his elders wisdom.
23 Then zIsrael came to Egypt;
Jacob aasojourned in abthe land of Ham.
24And the Lord acmade his people very fruitful
and made them stronger than their foes.
25He adturned their hearts to hate his people,
to aedeal craftily with his servants.
26 He afsent Moses, his servant,
and Aaron, agwhom he had chosen.
27 ahThey performed his signs among them
and miracles in aithe land of Ham.
28He ajsent darkness, and made the land dark;
they akdid not rebel
Septuagint, Syriac omit  not
against his words.
29He turned their waters into blood
and amcaused their fish to die.
30Their land swarmed with frogs,
even in anthe chambers of their kings.
31He spoke, and there came aoswarms of flies,
apand gnats throughout their country.
32He gave them hail for rain,
and fiery aqlightning bolts through their land.
33He struck down their vines and fig trees,
and arshattered the trees of their country.
34He spoke, and the aslocusts came,
young locusts without number,
35which devoured all the vegetation in their land
and ate up the fruit of their ground.
36He atstruck down all the firstborn in their land,
authe firstfruits of all their strength.
37 Then he brought out Israel with avsilver and gold,
and there was none among his tribes who stumbled.
38 awEgypt was glad when they departed,
for axdread of them had fallen upon it.
39 He ayspread a cloud for a covering,
and fire to give light by night.
40 azThey asked, and he babrought quail,
and gave them bbbread from heaven in abundance.
41He opened the rock, and bcwater gushed out;
it flowed through bdthe desert like a river.
42For he beremembered his holy promise,
and bfAbraham, his servant.
43 So he brought his people out with joy,
his bgchosen ones with bhsinging.
44And he bigave them the lands of the nations,
and they took possession of the fruit of the peoples’ toil,
45that they might bjkeep his statutes
and bkobserve his laws.
blPraise the Lord!
