and learned to do as they did.

Ezekiel 20:7-8

7 And I said to them, ' ^bCast away the detestable things ^cyour eyes feast on, every one of you, and do not defile yourselves with ^dthe idols of Egypt; ^eI am the Lord your God.' 8 ^fBut they rebelled against me and were not willing to listen to me. ^gNone of them cast away the detestable things their eyes feasted on, nor did they forsake the idols of Egypt.
