Psalms 107:33-41

33 He ^aturns rivers into a desert,
springs of water into thirsty ground,
34 ^ba fruitful land into a salty waste,
because of the evil of its inhabitants.
35 He ^cturns a desert into pools of water,
^da parched land into springs of water.
36 And there he lets the hungry dwell,
and they establish ^ea city to live in;
37 they sow fields and plant vineyards
and get a fruitful yield.
38 ^fBy his blessing they multiply greatly,
and he does not let their livestock diminish.
39 When they are diminished and brought low
through oppression, evil, and sorrow,
40 ^ghe pours contempt on princes
and ^hmakes them wander ⁱin trackless wastes;
41 but ^jhe raises up the needy out of affliction
and ^kmakes their families like flocks.

Psalms 113:7-9

7 He ^lraises the poor from the dust
and lifts the needy from the ash heap,
8 to make them ^msit with princes,
with the princes of his people.
9 He ⁿgives the barren woman a home,
making her the joyous mother of children.
