Psa 107:4-22 | ESV | STEP | Some wandered in desert wastes , finding no way to a city to dwell in;

4 Some ^awandered in desert wastes,
finding no way ^bto a city to dwell in;
5 hungry and thirsty,
their soul ^cfainted within them.
6 Then they ^dcried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
7 He led them by ^ea straight way
till they reached ^fa city to dwell in.
8 ^gLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
9 For he ^hsatisfies the longing soul,
ⁱand the hungry soul he fills with good things.
10 ^jSome sat in darkness and in ^kthe shadow of death,
prisoners in ^laffliction and in irons,
11 for they ^mhad rebelled against the words of God,
and ⁿspurned the counsel of the Most High.
12 So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor;
they fell down, ^owith none to help.
13 ^pThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
14 He brought them out of ^qdarkness and the shadow of death,
and ^rburst their bonds apart.
15 ^sLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
16 For he ^tshatters the doors of bronze
and cuts in two the bars of iron.
17 Some were ^ufools through their sinful ways,
and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;
18 ^vthey loathed any kind of food,
and they ^wdrew near to ^xthe gates of death.
19 ^yThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
20 He ^zsent out his word and ^aahealed them,
and ^abdelivered them from their destruction.
21 ^acLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
22 And let them ^adoffer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and ^aetell of his deeds in ^afsongs of joy!
