Psalms 107:4-22

4 Some awandered in desert wastes,
finding no way bto a city to dwell in;
5hungry and thirsty,
their soul cfainted within them.
6Then they dcried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
7He led them by ea straight way
till they reached fa city to dwell in.
8 gLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
9For he hsatisfies the longing soul,
iand the hungry soul he fills with good things.
10 jSome sat in darkness and in kthe shadow of death,
prisoners in laffliction and in irons,
11for they mhad rebelled against the words of God,
and nspurned the counsel of the Most High.
12So he bowed their hearts down with hard labor;
they fell down, owith none to help.
13 pThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
14He brought them out of qdarkness and the shadow of death,
and rburst their bonds apart.
15 sLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
16For he tshatters the doors of bronze
and cuts in two the bars of iron.
17 Some were ufools through their sinful ways,
and because of their iniquities suffered affliction;
18 vthey loathed any kind of food,
and they wdrew near to xthe gates of death.
19 yThen they cried to the Lord in their trouble,
and he delivered them from their distress.
20He zsent out his word and aahealed them,
and abdelivered them from their destruction.
21 acLet them thank the Lord for his steadfast love,
for his wondrous works to the children of man!
22And let them adoffer sacrifices of thanksgiving,
and aetell of his deeds in afsongs of joy!
