Isaiah 27:1

The Redemption of Israel

1In that day the Lord with his hard and great and strong hsword will punish iLeviathan the fleeing serpent, jLeviathan the twisting serpent, and he will slay kthe dragon that is in the sea.

Isaiah 34:1-6

Judgment on the Nations

1 Draw near, lO nations, to hear,
and give attention, O peoples!
Let the earth hear, and all that fills it;
the world, and all that comes from it.
2For the Lord is enraged against all the nations,
and furious against all their host;
he has mdevoted them to destruction,
That is, set apart ( devoted) as an offering to the Lord (for destruction); also verse 5
has given them over for slaughter.
3Their slain shall be cast out,
and othe stench of their corpses shall rise;
pthe mountains shall flow with their blood.
4 qAll the host of heaven shall rot away,
and the skies roll up like a scroll.
All their host shall fall,
as leaves fall from the vine,
like leaves falling from the fig tree.
5 For my sword has drunk its fill in the heavens;
behold, it descends for judgment upon rEdom,
upon the people sI have devoted to destruction.
6The Lord has a sword; it is sated with blood;
it is gorged with fat,
with the blood of lambs and goats,
with the fat of the kidneys of rams.
tFor the Lord has a sacrifice in Bozrah,
a great slaughter in the land of Edom.

Isaiah 63:1-6

The Lord’s Day of Vengeance

1 Who is this who comes from uEdom,
in crimsoned garments from vBozrah,
he who is splendid in his apparel,
wmarching in the greatness of his strength?
“It is I, speaking in righteousness,
mighty to save.”
2 Why is your xapparel red,
and your garments like his ywho treads in the winepress?
3 z“I have trodden the winepress alone,
aaand from the peoples no one was with me;
I trod them in my anger
and trampled them in my wrath;
their lifeblood
Or  their juice; also verse 6
spattered on my garments,
and stained all my apparel.
4 acFor the day of vengeance was in my heart,
and my year of redemption
Or the year of my redeemed
had come.
5I looked, but aethere was no one to help;
I was appalled, but there was no one to uphold;
so my own arm brought me salvation,
and my wrath upheld me.
6I trampled down the peoples in my anger;
afI made them drunk in my wrath,
and I poured out their lifeblood on the earth.”

Isaiah 66:15-16

Final Judgment and Glory of the Lord

15 For behold, agthe Lord will come in fire,
and ahhis chariots like the whirlwind,
to render his anger in fury,
and his rebuke with flames of fire.
16For aiby fire ajwill the Lord enter into judgment,
and by his sword, with all flesh;
and those slain by the Lord shall be many.

Ezekiel 38:10-11

10Thus says the Lord God: On that day, akthoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme 11and say, ‘I will go up against althe land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon amthe quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates,’

Ezekiel 38:16

16You will come up against my people Israel, anlike a cloud covering the land. aoIn the latter days I will bring you against my land, that the nations may know me, when through you, O Gog, apI vindicate my holiness before their eyes.
