eyes, but do not see.
6They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat.
8 dThose who make them become like them;
so do all who trust in them.

Habakkuk 2:18-19

18 rWhat profit is an idol
when its maker has shaped it,
a metal image, sa teacher of lies?
For its maker trusts in his own creation
when he makes tspeechless idols!
19 uWoe to him vwho says to a wooden thing, Awake;
to a silent stone, Arise!
Can this teach?
Behold, it is overlaid with gold and silver,
and wthere is no breath at all in it.
