Psalms 115:4-8

4 aTheir idols are silver and gold,
bthe work of human hands.
5They have mouths, cbut do not speak;
eyes, but do not see.
6They have ears, but do not hear;
noses, but do not smell.
7They have hands, but do not feel;
feet, but do not walk;
and they do not make a sound in their throat.
8 dThose who make them become like them;
so do all who trust in them.

Jeremiah 10:8-10

8 eThey are both fstupid and foolish;
the instruction of idols is but wood!
9 gBeaten silver is brought from hTarshish,
and gold from iUphaz.
jThey are the work of the craftsman and of the hands of the goldsmith;
their clothing is violet and purple;
kthey are all the work of skilled men.
10 lBut the Lord is the true God;
mhe is the living God and the everlasting King.
At his wrath the earth quakes,
and the nations cannot endure his indignation.

1 Corinthians 10:19-20

19What do I imply then? That food offered to idols is anything, or that nan idol is anything? 20No, I imply that what pagans sacrifice othey offer to demons and not to God. I do not want you to be participants with demons.
