when I saw the lprosperity of the wicked.

they are not mstricken like the rest of mankind.
6Therefore pride is ntheir necklace;
violence covers them as oa garment.

their hearts overflow with follies.
8They scoff and qspeak with malice;
loftily they threaten oppression.
9They set their mouths against the heavens,
and their tongue struts through the earth.

Jeremiah 9:2-6

2
Ch 9:1 in Hebrew
Oh that I had in the desert
a travelerslodging place,
that I might leave my people
and go away from them!
For they are all acadulterers,
a company of adtreacherous men.
3 aeThey bend their tongue like a bow;
falsehood and not truth has grown strong
Septuagint; Hebrew  and not for truth they have grown strong
in the land;
for they proceed from evil to evil,
agand they do not know me, declares the Lord.
4 ahLet everyone beware of his neighbor,
and put no trust in any brother,
for every aibrother is a deceiver,
and every neighbor ajgoes about as a slanderer.
5Everyone deceives his neighbor,
and no one speaks the truth;
they have taught their tongue to speak lies;
they weary themselves committing iniquity.
6Heaping oppression upon oppression, and deceit upon deceit,
akthey refuse to know me, declares the Lord.

Ezekiel 2:6

6And you, son of man, albe not afraid of them, nor be afraid of their words, amthough briers and thorns are with you and you sit on anscorpions.
Or  on scorpion plants
Be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, for they are a rebellious house.
