1 Save, O Lord, for ^bthe godly one is gone;
for the faithful have vanished from among the children of man.
2 Everyone ^cutters lies to his neighbor;
with ^dflattering lips and ^ea double heart they speak.

Psalms 55:9-11

9 Destroy, O Lord, ^fdivide their tongues;
for I see ^gviolence and strife in the city.
10 Day and night they go around it
on its walls,
and ^hiniquity and trouble are within it;
11 ruin is in its midst;
ⁱoppression and fraud
do not depart from its marketplace.

Psalms 73:3-9
