4those who say, “With our tongue we will prevail,

Psalms 92:5-7

5 How agreat are your works, O Lord!
Your bthoughts are very cdeep!
6The stupid man cannot know;
the fool cannot understand this:
7that though dthe wicked sprout like grass
and all eevildoers flourish,
they are doomed to destruction forever;

Isaiah 36:7

7But if you say to me, “We trust in the Lord our God,” is it not he fwhose high places and altars Hezekiah has removed, saying to Judah and to Jerusalem, “You shall worship before this altar”?

Isaiah 36:10

10Moreover, is it without the Lord that I have come up against this land to destroy it? gThe Lord said to me, "Go up against this land and destroy it."’”

Isaiah 36:15

15Do not let Hezekiah make you trust in the Lord by saying, “The Lord will surely deliver us. This city will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.”

Isaiah 37:10

10Thus shall you speak to Hezekiah king of Judah: h‘Do not let your God in whom you trust deceive you by promising that Jerusalem will not be given into the hand of the king of Assyria.
