you survivors of the nations!
hThey have no knowledge
who icarry about their wooden idols,
jand keep on praying to a god
that cannot save.
Isaiah 46:7-8
7 kThey lift it to their shoulders, they carry it,they set it in its place, and it stands there;
lit cannot move from its place.
If one cries to it, it does not answer
or save him from his trouble.

6The Lord said to me in the days of nKing Josiah: “Have you seen what she did, that faithless one, Israel, ohow she went up on every high hill and under every green tree, and there pplayed the whore?Jeremiah 10:14-16
14 qEvery man is stupid and without knowledge;revery goldsmith is put to shame by his idols,
for his images are false,
sand there is no breath in them.
15They are worthless, a work of delusion;
at the time of their punishment they shall perish.
16Not like these is he who is tthe portion of Jacob,
for he is the one who formed all things,
uand Israel is the tribe of his inheritance;

Ezekiel 20:28
