Let Us Go to the House of the Lord

1 I was glad when they said to me,b“Let us go to the house of the Lord!”
2Our feet have been standing
within your gates, O Jerusalem!
3 Jerusalem— cbuilt as a city
that is dbound firmly together,
4to which the tribes ego up,
the tribes of the Lord,
as was fdecreed for ▼
▼Or as a testimony for
Israel,to give thanks to the name of the Lord.
5There hthrones for judgment were set,
the thrones of the house of David.
6 iPray for the peace of Jerusalem!
“May they be secure who love you!
7Peace be within your jwalls
and security within your ktowers!”
8For my brothers and companions’ sake
I will say, l“Peace be within you!”
9For the sake of the house of the Lord our God,
I will mseek your good.
