17There I will make aa horn to sprout for David;

The Righteous Reign of the Branch

Jeremiah 33:20-21

20 sThus says the Lord: tIf you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, uso that day and night will not come at their appointed time, 21 vthen also my covenant with David my servant may be broken, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and my covenant with the Levitical priests my ministers.

Jeremiah 33:25-26

25Thus says the Lord: wIf I have not established my covenant with day and night and the fixed order of heaven and earth, 26then I will reject the offspring of Jacob and David my servant and will not choose one of his offspring to rule over the offspring of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. xFor I will restore their fortunes and will have mercy on them.”

Ezekiel 37:24-25

24“My servant yDavid zshall be king over them, and they shall all have aaone shepherd. abThey shall walk in my rules and be careful to obey my statutes. 25 acThey shall dwell in the land that I gave to my servant Jacob, where your fathers lived. They and their children and their children’s children shall dwell there adforever, and David my servant shall be their prince aeforever.
