Psalms 14:1-3

The Fool Says, There Is No God

To the choirmaster. Of David.

1 aThe bfool says in his heart, c“There is no God.”
They are dcorrupt, they do abominable deeds;
ethere is none who does good.
2 The Lord flooks down from heaven on the children of man,
to see if there are any who understand,
Or that act wisely

who hseek after God.
3 They have all turned aside; together they have become icorrupt;
there is none who does good,
not even one.

Psalms 51:5

5Behold, jI was brought forth in iniquity,
and in sin did my mother conceive me.

Psalms 58:3

3 The wicked are kestranged from the womb;
they go astray from birth, speaking lies.

Romans 3:9-20

No One Is Righteous

9What then? Are we Jews
Greek  Are we
any better off?
Or at any disadvantage?
No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both nJews and oGreeks, are punder sin,
10as it is written:

q“None is righteous, no, not one;
11no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
13 rTheir throat is san open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.”
t“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
14 uTheir mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
15 vTheir feet are swift to shed blood;
16in their paths are ruin and misery,
17and wthe way of peace they have not known.”
18 x“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19Now we know that whatever ythe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, zso that every mouth may be stopped, and aathe whole world may be held accountable to God. 20For abby works of the law no human being
Greek flesh
will be justified in his sight, since adthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

Galatians 3:21

21Is the law then contrary to the promises of God? Certainly not! For aeif a law had been given that could give life, then righteousness would indeed be by the law.
