Psalms 143:2

2 aEnter not into judgment with your servant,
for no one living is righteous bbefore you.

Romans 3:9-20

No One Is Righteous

9What then? Are we Jews
Greek  Are we
any better off?
Or at any disadvantage?
No, not at all. For we have already charged that all, both eJews and fGreeks, are gunder sin,
10as it is written:

h“None is righteous, no, not one;
11no one understands;
no one seeks for God.
12All have turned aside; together they have become worthless;
no one does good,
not even one.”
13 iTheir throat is jan open grave;
they use their tongues to deceive.”
k“The venom of asps is under their lips.”
14 lTheir mouth is full of curses and bitterness.”
15 mTheir feet are swift to shed blood;
16in their paths are ruin and misery,
17and nthe way of peace they have not known.”
18 o“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”
19Now we know that whatever pthe law says it speaks to those who are under the law, qso that every mouth may be stopped, and rthe whole world may be held accountable to God. 20For sby works of the law no human being
Greek flesh
will be justified in his sight, since uthrough the law comes knowledge of sin.

Romans 3:23

23for vall have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,

Romans 5:12

Death in Adam, Life in Christ

12Therefore, just as wsin came into the world through one man, and xdeath through sin, and yso death spread to all men
The Greek word anthropoi refers here to both men and women; also twice in verse 18
because aaall sinned

Romans 5:20

20Now abthe law came in to increase the trespass, but where sin increased, acgrace abounded all the more,

Romans 11:32

32For God adhas consigned all to disobedience, that he may have mercy on all.

Galatians 3:8-10

8And the Scripture, foreseeing that aeGod would justify
Or count righteous; also verses 11, 24
the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel beforehand to Abraham, saying, agIn you shall all the nations be blessed.”
9So then, those who are of faith are blessed along with Abraham, the man of faith.

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

10For all who rely on works of the law are ahunder a curse; for it is written, aiCursed be everyone who does not ajabide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.”

Galatians 3:23

23Now before faith came, we were held captive under the law, akimprisoned until the coming faith would be revealed.
