Psalms 146:3-5
3 aPut not your trust in princes,bin a son of man, in whom there is cno salvation.
4When dhis breath departs, he returns to the earth;
on that very day his plans perish.
5 eBlessed is he whose help is the God of Jacob,
whose fhope is in the Lord his God,
Jeremiah 17:5-8
5 Thus says the Lord:“Cursed is the man gwho trusts in man
and makes flesh his strength, ▼

whose heart turns away from the Lord.
6 iHe is like a shrub in the desert,
jand shall not see any good come.
He shall dwell in the parched places of the wilderness,
in kan uninhabited salt land.
7 l“Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord,
mwhose trust is the Lord.
8 nHe is like a tree planted by water,
that sends out its roots by the stream,
and does not fear when heat comes,
for its leaves remain green,
and is not anxious in the year of drought,
for it does not cease to bear fruit.”
Ezekiel 18:4
