cYour hurt is incurable,
dand your wound is grievous.
13There is none to uphold your cause,
no medicine for your wound,
eno healing for you.
14 fAll your lovers have forgotten you;
they care nothing for you;
for I have dealt you the blow of gan enemy,
the punishment hof a merciless foe,
because your guilt is great,
ibecause your sins are flagrant.
15 jWhy do you cry out over your hurt?
kYour pain is incurable.
Because your guilt is great,
lbecause your sins are flagrant,
I have done these things to you.
16 mTherefore all who devour you shall be devoured,
and nall your foes, every one of them, shall go into captivity;
othose who plunder you shall be plundered,
pand all who prey on you I will make a prey.
17 qFor I will restore rhealth to you,
and syour wounds I will heal,

declares the Lord,
because tthey have called you an outcast:
u‘It is Zion, for whom no one cares!’

18I have heard vEphraim grieving,
‘You have disciplined me, and I was disciplined,
like an untrained calf;
wbring me back that I may be restored,
for you are the Lord my God.
19For after xI had turned away, I relented,
and after I was instructed, yI struck my thigh;
zI was ashamed, and I was confounded,
because I bore the disgrace of my youth.’
20 aaIs Ephraim my dear son?
abIs he my darling child?
For as often as I speak against him,
I do remember him still.
acTherefore my heart
Hebrew bowels
yearns for him;
I will surely have mercy on him,

declares the Lord.

Matthew 18:11-14

12 amWhat do you think? anIf a man has a hundred sheep, and one of them has gone astray, does he not leave the ninety-nine on the mountains and go in search of the one that went astray? 13And if he finds it, truly, I say to you, he rejoices over it more than over the ninety-nine that never went astray. 14So aoit is not the will of my
