Praise the Name of the Lord

1 aPraise the Lord!
Praise the Lord bfrom the heavens;
praise him cin the heights!
2Praise him, all his angels;
praise him, all his dhosts!
3 Praise him, sun and moon,
praise him, all you shining stars!
4Praise him, you ehighest heavens,
and you fwaters above the heavens!
5 gLet them praise the name of the Lord!
For hhe commanded and they were created.
6And he iestablished them forever and ever;
he gave ja decree, and it shall not kpass away.
Or  it shall not be transgressed

7 Praise the Lord mfrom the earth,
you ngreat sea creatures and all deeps,
8 ofire and hail, psnow and mist,
qstormy wind rfulfilling his word!
9 sMountains and all hills,
tfruit trees and all ucedars!
10 vBeasts and all livestock,
creeping things and wflying birds!
11 Kings of the earth and xall peoples,
princes and all rulers of the earth!
12Young men and maidens together,
old men and children!
13 yLet them praise the name of the Lord,
for zhis name alone is exalted;
aahis majesty is above earth and heaven.
14He has abraised up a horn for his people,
acpraise for all his saints,
for the people of Israel who are adnear to him.

Sing to the Lord a New Song

1 afPraise the Lord!
Sing to the Lord aga new song,
his praise in ahthe assembly of the godly!
2Let Israel aibe glad in ajhis Maker;
let the children of Zion rejoice in their akKing!
3Let them praise his name with aldancing,
making melody to him with amtambourine and anlyre!
4For the Lord aotakes pleasure in his people;
he apadorns the humble with salvation.
5Let the godly exult in glory;
let them aqsing for joy on their arbeds.
6Let asthe high praises of God be in their throats
and attwo-edged swords in their hands,
7to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
8to bind their kings with auchains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
9to execute on them the judgment avwritten!
awThis is honor for all his godly ones.
