Psalms 149:6-9

6Let athe high praises of God be in their throats
and btwo-edged swords in their hands,
7to execute vengeance on the nations
and punishments on the peoples,
8to bind their kings with cchains
and their nobles with fetters of iron,
9to execute on them the judgment dwritten!
eThis is honor for all his godly ones.

Jeremiah 50:15

15 gRaise a shout against her all around;
she has surrendered;
her bulwarks have fallen;
hher walls are thrown down.
For ithis is the vengeance of the Lord:
take vengeance on her;
jdo to her as she has done.

Jeremiah 51:10-11

10 kThe Lord has brought about our vindication;
lcome, let us declare in Zion
the work of the Lord our God.
11 mSharpen the arrows!
Take up the shields!
nThe Lord has stirred up the spirit of the kings of othe Medes, because phis purpose concerning Babylon is to destroy it, qfor that is the vengeance of the Lord, the vengeance for rhis temple.

Daniel 5:3-5

3Then they brought in sthe golden vessels that had been taken out of the temple, the house of God in Jerusalem, and the king and his lords, his wives, and his concubines drank from them. 4They drank wine and tpraised the ugods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

5 vImmediately wthe fingers of a human hand appeared and wrote on the plaster of the wall of the king’s palace, opposite the lampstand. And the king saw xthe hand as it wrote.

Daniel 5:23

23but you have lifted up yourself against ythe Lord of heaven. And zthe vessels of his house have been brought in before you, and you and your lords, your wives, and your concubines have drunk wine from them. aaAnd you have praised the gods of silver and gold, of bronze, iron, wood, and stone, which do not see or hear or know, abbut the God in whose hand is your breath, and acwhose are all your ways, adyou have not honored.

Zechariah 12:2-3

2Behold, I am about to make Jerusalem aea cup of staggering to afall the surrounding peoples. The siege of Jerusalem agwill also be against Judah. 3 ahOn that day I will make Jerusalem a heavy stone for all the peoples. aiAll who lift it will surely hurt themselves. And ajall the nations of the earth will gather against it.
