Psalms 15

Who Shall Dwell on Your Holy Hill?

A Psalm of David.

1 O Lord, awho shall sojourn in your btent?
Who shall dwell on your choly hill?
2 He who dwalks blamelessly and edoes what is right
and fspeaks truth in his heart;
3who gdoes not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor htakes up a reproach against his friend;
4 iin whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who jswears to his own hurt and does not change;
5who kdoes not put out his money at interest
and ldoes not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be mmoved.

Psalms 104

O Lord My God, You Are Very Great

1 nBless the Lord, O my soul!
O Lord my God, you are overy great!
pYou are clothed with splendor and majesty,
2covering yourself with light as with a garment,
qstretching out the heavens rlike a tent.
3He slays the beams of his tchambers on the waters;
he makes uthe clouds his chariot;
he rides on vthe wings of the wind;
4he wmakes his messengers winds,
his xministers ya flaming fire.
5 He zset the earth on its foundations,
so that it should never be moved.
6You aacovered it with the deep as with a garment;
the waters stood above the mountains.
7At abyour rebuke they fled;
at acthe sound of your thunder they adtook to flight.
8The mountains rose, the valleys sank down
to the place that you aeappointed for them.
9You set afa boundary that they may not pass,
so that they agmight not again cover the earth.
10 You make springs gush forth in the valleys;
they flow between the hills;
11they ahgive drink to every beast of the field;
the wild donkeys quench their thirst.
12Beside them the birds of the heavens dwell;
they sing among the branches.
13 aiFrom your lofty abode you ajwater the mountains;
the earth is satisfied with the fruit of your work.
14 You cause akthe grass to grow for the livestock
and alplants for man to cultivate,
that he may bring forth amfood from the earth
15and anwine to gladden the heart of man,
aooil to make his face shine
and bread to apstrengthen man’s heart.
16 The trees of the Lord are watered abundantly,
aqthe cedars of Lebanon arthat he planted.
17In them the birds build their nests;
the stork has her home in the fir trees.
18The high mountains are for asthe wild goats;
the rocks are a refuge for atthe rock badgers.
19 He made the moon to mark the auseasons;
Or  the appointed times (compare Genesis 1:14)

the sun knows its time for setting.
20 awYou make darkness, and it is night,
when all the beasts of the forest creep about.
21 axThe young lions roar for their prey,
seeking their food from God.
22When the sun rises, they steal away
and lie down in their aydens.
23 azMan goes out to his work
and to his labor until the evening.
24 O Lord, how manifold are your works!
In bawisdom have you made them all;
the earth is full of your creatures.
25Here is the sea, great and wide,
bbwhich teems with creatures innumerable,
living things both small and great.
26There go the ships,
and bcLeviathan, which you formed to bdplay in it.
Or  you formed to play with

27 These bfall look to you,
to bggive them their food in due season.
28When you give it to them, they gather it up;
when you bhopen your hand, they are filled with good things.
29When you bihide your face, they are bjdismayed;
when you bktake away their breath, they die
and blreturn to their dust.
30When you bmsend forth your Spirit,
Or breath
they are created,
and you borenew the face of the ground.
31 May the glory of the Lord bpendure forever;
may the Lord bqrejoice in his works,
32who looks on the earth and it brtrembles,
who bstouches the mountains and they smoke!
33I will sing to the Lord btas long as I live;
I will sing praise to my God while I have being.
34May my bumeditation be pleasing to him,
for I rejoice in the Lord.
35Let bvsinners be consumed from the earth,
and let the wicked be no more!
bwBless the Lord, O my soul!
bxPraise the Lord!
