Psalms 15

Who Shall Dwell on Your Holy Hill?

A Psalm of David.

1 O Lord, awho shall sojourn in your btent?
Who shall dwell on your choly hill?
2 He who dwalks blamelessly and edoes what is right
and fspeaks truth in his heart;
3who gdoes not slander with his tongue
and does no evil to his neighbor,
nor htakes up a reproach against his friend;
4 iin whose eyes a vile person is despised,
but who honors those who fear the Lord;
who jswears to his own hurt and does not change;
5who kdoes not put out his money at interest
and ldoes not take a bribe against the innocent.
He who does these things shall never be mmoved.

Psalms 33

The Steadfast Love of the Lord

1 nShout for joy in the Lord, O you righteous!
oPraise befits the upright.
2Give thanks to the Lord with the plyre;
make melody to him with qthe harp of rten strings!
3Sing to him sa new song;
play skillfully on the strings, with loud shouts.
4 For the word of the Lord is upright,
and all his work is done in tfaithfulness.
5He uloves righteousness and justice;
vthe earth is full of the steadfast love of the Lord.
6 By wthe word of the Lord the heavens were made,
and by xthe breath of his mouth all ytheir host.
7He gathers the waters of the sea as za heap;
he aaputs the deeps in storehouses.
8 Let all the earth fear the Lord;
let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him!
9For abhe spoke, and it came to be;
he commanded, and it stood firm.
10 The Lord acbrings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
he frustrates the plans of the peoples.
11 adThe counsel of the Lord stands forever,
the plans of his heart to all generations.
12 aeBlessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
the people whom he has afchosen as his heritage!
13 The Lord aglooks down from heaven;
he sees all the children of man;
14from ahwhere he sits enthroned he ailooks out
on all the inhabitants of the earth,
15he who fashions the hearts of them all
and observes all their deeds.
16 ajThe king is not saved by his great army;
a warrior is not delivered by his great strength.
17 akThe war horse is a false hope for salvation,
and by its great might it cannot rescue.
18 Behold, althe eye of the Lord is on those who fear him,
amon those who hope in his steadfast love,
19that he may andeliver their soul from death
and keep them alive in aofamine.
20 Our soul apwaits for the Lord;
he is our aqhelp and arour shield.
21For our heart is asglad in him,
because we attrust in his holy name.
22Let your steadfast love, O Lord, be upon us,
even as we hope in you.
