Psalms 17:13-14

13 Arise, O Lord! Confront him, subdue him!
Deliver my soul from the wicked by your sword,
14from men by your hand, O Lord,
from amen of the world whose bportion is in this life.
Or  from men whose portion in life is of the world

You fill their womb with treasure;
Or As for your treasured ones, you fill their womb

they are satisfied with echildren,
and they leave their abundance to their infants.

Psalms 125:5

5But those who fturn aside to their gcrooked ways
the Lord will lead away with hevildoers!

Judgment on Arrogant Assyria

5 Woe to Assyria, mthe rod of my anger;
the staff in their hands is my fury!

Isaiah 10:15

15 Shall nthe axe boast over him who hews with it,
or the saw magnify itself against him who wields it?
As if a rod should wield him who lifts it,
or as if a staff should lift him who is not wood!

Isaiah 10:24

24Therefore thus says the Lord God of hosts: “O my people, owho dwell in Zion, pbe not afraid of the Assyrians when they strike with the rod and lift up their staff against you as qthe Egyptians did.

Micah 5:5-6

5And he shall be rtheir peace.
sWhen the Assyrian comes into our land
and treads in our palaces,
then we will raise against him seven tshepherds
and eight princes of men;
6they shall shepherd the land of Assyria with the sword,
and the land of uNimrod at its entrances;
and he shall deliver us from the Assyrian
vwhen he comes into our land
and treads within our border.
