Psalms 17:9-12

9 from the wicked who do me violence,
my deadly enemies who ^asurround me.
10 ^bThey close their hearts to pity;
with their mouths they ^cspeak arrogantly.
11 They have now surrounded our ^dsteps;
they set their eyes to ^ecast us to the ground.
12 He is like a lion eager to tear,
as a young lion ^flurking in ambush.

Psalms 17:14

14 from men by your hand, O Lord,
from ^gmen of the world whose ^hportion is in this life. ^{▼▼Or from men whose portion in life is of the world}
You fill their womb with treasure; ^{▼▼Or As for your treasured ones, you fill their womb}
they are satisfied with ^kchildren,
and they leave their abundance to their infants.
