The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

and the peoples plot in vain?

Isaiah 8:9

9 Be broken, ^{▼▼Or Be evil} you peoples, and ^ebe shattered; ^{▼▼Or dismayed}
give ear, all you far countries;
strap on your armor and be shattered;

Zechariah 14:1-3

The Coming Day of the Lord

1 Behold, ^ka day is coming for the Lord, when the spoil taken from you will be divided in your midst. 2 For ^lI will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and ^mthe city shall be taken ⁿand the houses plundered ^oand the women raped. ^pHalf of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 ^qThen the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.
