The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 aWhy do bthe nations rage
Or  nations noisily assemble

and the peoples plot in vain?

Isaiah 8:9-10

9 Be broken,
Or  Be evil
you peoples, and ebe shattered;
Or dismayed

give ear, all you far countries;
strap on your armor and be shattered;
strap on your armor and be shattered.
10Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing;
speak a word, gbut it will not stand,
for God his with us.
The Hebrew for  God is with us is Immanuel

Micah 4:11-12

11 Now jmany nations
are assembled against you,
saying, “Let her be defiled,
and klet our eyes gaze upon Zion.”
12But lthey do not know
the thoughts of the Lord;
they do not understand his plan,
that mhe has gathered them as sheaves to the threshing floor.

Zechariah 14:2-3

2For nI will gather all the nations against Jerusalem to battle, and othe city shall be taken pand the houses plundered qand the women raped. rHalf of the city shall go out into exile, but the rest of the people shall not be cut off from the city. 3 sThen the Lord will go out and fight against those nations as when he fights on a day of battle.

Revelation of John 19:19-21

19And I saw tthe beast and the kings of the earth with their armies ugathered to make war against him who was sitting on the horse and against his army. 20And the beast was captured, and with it vthe false prophet wwho in its presence
Or on its behalf
had done the signs by which he deceived those who had received the mark of the beast and those who yworshiped its image. These two were zthrown alive into the lake of aafire that burns with sulfur.
21And the rest were slain by the sword abthat came from the mouth of him who was sitting on the horse, and acall the birds were gorged with their flesh.
