The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 aWhy do bthe nations rage
Or  nations noisily assemble

and the peoples plot in vain?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his dAnointed, saying,

Psalms 21:11

11Though they plan evil against you,
though they edevise mischief, they will not succeed.

Psalms 36:4

4He fplots gtrouble while on his bed;
he sets himself in ha way that is not good;
ihe does not reject evil.

Psalms 38:12

12 Those who seek my life jlay their snares;
those who seek my hurt kspeak of ruin
and meditate ltreachery all day long.

Psalms 62:3

3 How long will all of you attack a man
to batter him,
like ma leaning wall, a tottering fence?

Psalms 64:5-6

5They nhold fast to their evil purpose;
they talk of olaying snares secretly,
thinking, pWho can see them?”
6They search out injustice,
saying, “We have accomplished a diligent search.”
For qthe inward mind and heart of a man are deep.

Proverbs 12:20

20Deceit is in the heart of rthose who devise evil,
but those who plan peace have joy.

Hosea 7:6

6For with hearts like an oven sthey approach their intrigue;
all night their anger smolders;
in the morning it blazes like a flaming fire.

Micah 2:1-3

Woe to the Oppressors

1 tWoe to those who devise wickedness
and work evil uon their beds!
When the morning dawns, they perform it,
because it is in the power of their hand.
2They covet fields and vseize them,
and houses, and take them away;
they oppress a man and his house,
a man and his inheritance.
3Therefore thus says the Lord:
behold, against wthis family I am devising disaster,
The same Hebrew word can mean evil or  disaster, depending on the context

from which you cannot remove your necks,
and you yshall not walk haughtily,
zfor it will be a time of disaster.
