Psalms 2:1-2

The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 ^aWhy do ^bthe nations rage ^{▼▼Or nations noisily assemble}
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his ^dAnointed, saying,

Psalms 74:4

4 Your foes have ^eroared in the midst of your meeting place;
^fthey set up their ^gown signs for ^hsigns.

Isaiah 37:29

29 ⁱBecause you have raged against me
and your complacency has come to my ears,
I will put my hook in your nose
and my bit in your mouth,
and ^jI will turn you back on the way
by which you came.’

Lamentations 2:16
