The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 aWhy do bthe nations rage
Or  nations noisily assemble

and the peoples plot in vain?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his dAnointed, saying,
3“Let us eburst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”
4 He who fsits in the heavens glaughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.

Psalms 21:11

11Though they plan evil against you,
though they hdevise mischief, they will not succeed.

Psalms 33:10

10 The Lord ibrings the counsel of the nations to nothing;
he frustrates the plans of the peoples.

Proverbs 21:30

30 jNo wisdom, no understanding, no counsel
can avail against the Lord.

Isaiah 8:9-10

9 Be broken,
Or  Be evil
you peoples, and lbe shattered;
Or dismayed

give ear, all you far countries;
strap on your armor and be shattered;
strap on your armor and be shattered.
10Take counsel together, but it will come to nothing;
speak a word, nbut it will not stand,
for God ois with us.
The Hebrew for  God is with us is Immanuel

Ezekiel 38:10-11

10Thus says the Lord God: On that day, qthoughts will come into your mind, and you will devise an evil scheme 11and say, ‘I will go up against rthe land of unwalled villages. I will fall upon sthe quiet people who dwell securely, all of them dwelling without walls, and having no bars or gates,’

Nahum 1:11

11From you came one
twho plotted evil against the Lord,
a worthless counselor.
