Psalms 2:1-4

The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 ^aWhy do ^bthe nations rage ^{▼▼Or nations noisily assemble}
and the peoples plot in vain?
2 The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his ^dAnointed, saying,
3 “Let us ^eburst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”
4 He who ^fsits in the heavens ^glaughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.

Daniel 2:34-35

34 As you looked, a stone was cut out ^hby no human hand, and it struck the image on its feet of iron and clay, and ⁱbroke them in pieces. 35 Then the iron, the clay, the bronze, the silver, and the gold, all together were broken in pieces, and became ^jlike the chaff of the summer threshing floors; and the wind carried them away, so that ^knot a trace of them could be found. But the stone that struck the image became ^la great mountain ^mand filled the whole earth.

Acts 5:39
