The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 aWhy do bthe nations rage
Or  nations noisily assemble

and the peoples plot in vain?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his dAnointed, saying,
3“Let us eburst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”
4 He who fsits in the heavens glaughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5Then he will speak to them in his hwrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,

Psalms 7:6

6 iArise, O Lord, in your anger;
jlift yourself up against the fury of my enemies;
kawake for me; you have appointed a judgment.

Psalms 10:13-14

13Why does the wicked lrenounce God
and say in his heart, “You will not mcall to account”?
14But you do see, for you nnote mischief and vexation,
that you may take it into your hands;
to you the helpless ocommits himself;
you have been pthe helper of the fatherless.
