The Reign of the Lord’s Anointed

1 aWhy do bthe nations rage
Or  nations noisily assemble

and the peoples plot in vain?
2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his dAnointed, saying,
3“Let us eburst their bonds apart
and cast away their cords from us.”
4 He who fsits in the heavens glaughs;
the Lord holds them in derision.
5Then he will speak to them in his hwrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,

47So the chief priests and the Pharisees igathered jthe council and said, kWhat are we to do? For this man performs many signs.

27for truly in this city there were gathered together against your qholy servant Jesus, rwhom you anointed, both sHerod and tPontius Pilate, along uwith the Gentiles and vthe peoples of Israel, 28 wto do whatever your hand and xyour plan had predestined to take place.
