Psalms 2:2

2The kings of the earth set themselves,
and the rulers take counsel together,
against the Lord and against his aAnointed, saying,

Psalms 2:6-12

6“As for me, I have bset my King
on cZion, my dholy hill.”
7 I will tell of the decree:
The Lord said to me, e“You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and fthe ends of the earth your possession.
9You shall gbreak

them with ia rod of iron
and dash them in pieces like ja potter’s vessel.”
10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
be warned, O rulers of the earth.
11 kServe the Lord with lfear,
and mrejoice with ntrembling.
12 oKiss pthe Son,
lest he be angry, and you perish in the way,
for his qwrath is quickly kindled.
rBlessed are all who take refuge in him.

Isaiah 11:2-5

2And sthe Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon him,
the Spirit of wisdom and understanding,
the Spirit of counsel and might,
the Spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.
3And his delight shall be in the fear of the Lord.
tHe shall not judge by uwhat his eyes see,
or decide disputes by vwhat his ears hear,
4but wwith righteousness he shall judge the poor,
and decide with equity for the meek of the earth;
and he shall xstrike the earth with the rod of his mouth,
and ywith the breath of his lips zhe shall kill the wicked.
5Righteousness shall be the belt of his waist,
and aafaithfulness the belt of his loins.

Isaiah 42:1

The Lord’s Chosen Servant

1 abBehold acmy servant, whom I uphold,
my chosen, adin whom my soul delights;
aeI have put my Spirit upon him;
afhe will bring forth justice to the nations.

Isaiah 42:3

3 aga bruised reed he will not break,
and a faintly burning wick he will not quench;
ahhe will faithfully bring forth justice.

Isaiah 49:1-3

The Servant of the Lord

1 Listen to me, aiO coastlands,
and give attention, you peoples ajfrom afar.
akThe Lord called me from the womb,
from the body of my mother he named my name.
2 alHe made my mouth like a sharp sword;
amin the shadow of his hand he hid me;
he made me a polished arrow;
in his quiver he hid me away.
3And he said to me, “You are my servant,
Israel, anin whom I will be glorified.”
Or  I will display my beauty

Isaiah 49:6-8

6he says:
“It is too light a thing that you should be my servant
to raise up the tribes of Jacob
and to bring back the preserved of Israel;
apI will make you aqas a light for the nations,
that army salvation may reach to the end of the earth.”
7 Thus says the Lord,
asthe Redeemer of Israel and his Holy One,
atto one deeply despised, abhorred by the nation,
the servant of rulers:
auKings shall see and arise;
princes, and they shall prostrate themselves;
because of the Lord, who is faithful,
the Holy One of Israel, who has chosen you.”

The Restoration of Israel

8 Thus says the Lord:

in a day of salvation I have helped you;

as a covenant to the people,
to establish the land,
