Daniel 3:11-25

11And whoever does not fall down and worship mshall be cast into a burning fiery furnace. 12There are certain Jews whom you have nappointed over the affairs of othe province of Babylon: pShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. These men, O king, qpay no attention to you; they do not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

13Then Nebuchadnezzar rin furious rage commanded that sShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego be brought. So they brought these men before the king. 14Nebuchadnezzar answered and said to them, “Is it true, O Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, that you do not serve my gods or worship the golden image that I have set up? 15Now if you are ready when tyou hear the sound of the horn, pipe, lyre, trigon, harp, bagpipe, and every kind of music, to fall down and worship the image that I have made, well and good.

But if you do not worship, vyou shall immediately be cast into a burning fiery furnace. And wwho is the god who will deliver you out of my hands?”

16 xShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego answered and said to the king, “O Nebuchadnezzar, we have no need to answer you in this matter. 17If this be so, your God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and he will deliver us out of your hand, O king.
Or If our God whom we serve is able to deliver us, he will deliver us from the burning fiery furnace and out of your hand, O king.
18But if not, be it known to you, O king, that we will not serve your gods or worship the golden image that you have set up.”

19Then Nebuchadnezzar was aafilled with fury, and the expression of his face abwas changed against acShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. He ordered the furnace heated seven times more than it was usually heated. 20And he ordered some of the mighty men of his army adto bind aeShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, and to cast them into the burning fiery furnace. 21Then these men were afbound in their cloaks, their tunics,

their hats, and their other garments, and they were thrown into the burning fiery furnace.
22Because the king’s order was ahurgent and the furnace overheated, the flame of the fire killed those men who took up aiShadrach, Meshach, and Abednego. 23And these three men, Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego, fell ajbound into the burning fiery furnace.

24Then King Nebuchadnezzar was akastonished and rose up alin haste. He declared to his amcounselors, “Did we not cast three men anbound into the fire?” They answered and said to the king, “True, O king.” 25He answered and said, “But I see four men unbound, aowalking in the midst of the fire, and they apare not hurt; and the appearance of the fourth is like aqa son of the gods.”

Daniel 6:22-24

22My God arsent his angel asand shut the lionsmouths, and they have not harmed me, because I was found blameless atbefore him; auand also before you, O king, I have done no harm.” 23Then the king was exceedingly glad, and commanded that Daniel be taken up out of the den. So Daniel was taken up out of the den, and avno kind of harm was found on him, because he had trusted in his God. 24And the king commanded, and awthose men who had maliciously accused Daniel were brought and cast into the den of lionsthey, their children, and their wives. And before they reached the bottom of the den, the lions overpowered them and broke all their bones in pieces.
