5Then he will speak to them in his awrath,
and terrify them in his fury, saying,

8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and bthe ends of the earth your possession.

be warned, O rulers of the earth.

Sit at My Right Hand

A Psalm of David.

1 oThe Lord says to my Lord:
pSit at my right hand,
quntil I make your enemies your rfootstool.”
2 The Lord sends forth sfrom Zion
tyour mighty scepter.
uRule in the midst of your enemies!
3 vYour people will woffer themselves freely
on the day of your xpower,
Or  on the day you lead your forces

in zholy garments;

from the womb of the morning,
the dew of your youth will be yours.
The meaning of the Hebrew is uncertain

4 acThe Lord has adsworn
and will aenot change his mind,
af“You are aga priest ahforever
after the order of aiMelchizedek.”
5 The Lord is at your ajright hand;
he will akshatter kings on althe day of his wrath.
6He will amexecute judgment among the nations,
anfilling them with corpses;
he will aoshatter chiefs
Or the head

over the wide earth.
7He will aqdrink from the brook by the way;
therefore he will lift up his head.

Isaiah 2:11

11 arThe haughty looks of man shall be brought low,
and the lofty pride of men shall be humbled,
and the Lord alone will be exalted in that day.

Isaiah 10:33

33 Behold, the Lord God of hosts
