Psalms 2:6-10

6 “As for me, I have ^aset my King
on ^bZion, my ^choly hill.”
7 I will tell of the decree:
The Lord said to me, ^d“You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
8 Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and ^ethe ends of the earth your possession.
9 You shall ^fbreak ^{▼▼Revocalization yields (compare Septuagint) You shall rule} them with ^ha rod of iron
and dash them in pieces like ⁱa potter’s vessel.”
10 Now therefore, O kings, be wise;
be warned, O rulers of the earth.

Psalms 45:3-6

3 ^jGird your ^ksword on your thigh, O ^lmighty one,
in ^myour splendor and majesty!
4 In your majesty ⁿride out victoriously
for the cause of truth and meekness and righteousness;
let your right hand teach you ^oawesome deeds!
5 Your arrows are sharp
in the heart of the king’s enemies;
the peoples fall under you.
