6“As for me, I have ^aset my King
on ^bZion, my ^choly hill.”
7 I will tell of the decree:

today I have begotten you.
8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,

Give the King Your Justice

Of ^mSolomon.

1 Give the king your ⁿjustice, O God,
and your righteousness to the royal son!
2May he ^ojudge your people with righteousness,
and your poor with justice!
3Let the mountains bear ^pprosperity for the people,
and the hills, in righteousness!
4May he defend the cause of the poor of the people,
give deliverance to the children of the needy,
and crush the oppressor!
5 May they fear you ▼

16May there be abundance of grain in the land;
on the tops of the mountains may it wave;
may its fruit be like Lebanon;
and may people ^aoblossom in the cities
like the ^apgrass of the field!
17 ^aqMay his name endure forever,
his fame continue as long as the sun!
^arMay people be blessed in him,

The Lord Reigns

2 ^bgYour throne is established from of old;
^bhyou are from everlasting.

Psalms 96:10-13

10 Say among the nations, ^bi“The Lord reigns!
Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
he will ^bjjudge the peoples with equity.”
