Psalms 2:6-8

6“As for me, I have aset my King
on bZion, my choly hill.”
7 I will tell of the decree:
The Lord said to me, d“You are my Son;
today I have begotten you.
8Ask of me, and I will make the nations your heritage,
and ethe ends of the earth your possession.

Psalms 45:6-7

6 fYour throne, O God, is forever and ever.
The gscepter of your kingdom is a scepter of uprightness;
7 hyou have loved righteousness and hated wickedness.
Therefore iGod, your God, has janointed you

Psalms 72

Give the King Your Justice

Of mSolomon.

1 Give the king your njustice, O God,
and your righteousness to the royal son!
2May he ojudge your people with righteousness,
and your poor with justice!
3Let the mountains bear pprosperity for the people,
and the hills, in righteousness!
4May he defend the cause of the poor of the people,
give deliverance to the children of the needy,
and crush the oppressor!
5 May they fear you
Septuagint He shall endure
while rthe sun endures,
and as long as the moon, sthroughout all generations!
6May he be like train that falls on uthe mown grass,
like vshowers that water the earth!
7In his days may wthe righteous flourish,
and xpeace abound, till the moon be no more!
8 May he have dominion from ysea to sea,
and from zthe River
That is,  the Euphrates
to the abends of the earth!
9May desert tribes acbow down before him,
and his enemies adlick the dust!
10May the kings of aeTarshish and of afthe coastlands
render him agtribute;
may the kings of ahSheba and aiSeba
bring gifts!
11May all kings ajfall down before him,
all nations serve him!
12 For he delivers akthe needy when he calls,
the poor and him who has no helper.
13He has pity on the weak and the needy,
and saves the lives of the needy.
14From oppression and violence he redeems their life,
and alprecious is their blood in his sight.
15 Long may he live;
may amgold of Sheba be given to him!
May prayer be made anfor him continually,
and blessings invoked for him all the day!
16May there be abundance of grain in the land;
on the tops of the mountains may it wave;
may its fruit be like Lebanon;
and may people aoblossom in the cities
like the apgrass of the field!
17 aqMay his name endure forever,
his fame continue as long as the sun!
arMay people be blessed in him,
asall nations call him blessed!
18 atBlessed be the Lord, the God of Israel,
who alone does auwondrous things.
19Blessed be his avglorious name forever;
may awthe whole earth be filled with his glory!

The Lord Reigns

beYes, the world is established; bfit shall never be moved.
2 bgYour throne is established from of old;
bhyou are from everlasting.

Psalms 96:10-13

10 Say among the nations, bi“The Lord reigns!
Yes, the world is established; it shall never be moved;
he will bjjudge the peoples with equity.”
11 Let bkthe heavens be glad, and let blthe earth rejoice;
let bmthe sea roar, and all that fills it;
12let bnthe field exult, and everything in it!
Then shall all bothe trees of the forest sing for joy
13before the Lord, for he comes,
for he comes bpto judge the earth.
He will judge the world in righteousness,
and the peoples in his faithfulness.

The Lord Reigns

2 btClouds and thick darkness are all around him;
burighteousness and justice are the foundation of his throne.

and burns up his adversaries all around.
4His bwlightnings light up the world;
the earth sees and bxtrembles.
5The mountains bymelt like bzwax before the Lord,
before cathe Lord of all the earth.
6 cbThe heavens proclaim his righteousness,
and all ccthe peoples see his glory.
7All worshipers of images are cdput to shame,
who make their boast in ceworthless idols;
cfworship him, all you gods!
8 Zion hears and cgis glad,
and the daughters of Judah rejoice,
because of your judgments, O Lord.
9For you, O Lord, are chmost high over all the earth;
you are exalted far above ciall gods.
10 O you who love the Lord, cjhate evil!
He ckpreserves the lives of his clsaints;
he cmdelivers them from the hand of the wicked.
