6 But I am ^aa worm and not a man,
^bscorned by mankind and ^cdespised by the people.

Psalms 35:10

10 All my ^dbones shall say,
“O Lord, ^ewho is like you,
delivering the poor
from him who is too strong for him,
the poor and needy from him who robs him?”

Psalms 69:29-34

29 But I am afflicted and in pain;
let your salvation, O God, ^fset me on high!
30 I will ^gpraise the name of God with a song;
I will ^hmagnify him with ⁱthanksgiving.
31 This will ^jplease the Lord more than an ox
or a bull ^kwith horns and hoofs.
32 When ^lthe humble see it they will be glad;
you who seek God, ^mlet your hearts revive.
33 For the Lord hears the needy
and ⁿdoes not despise his own people who are prisoners.
34 Let ^oheaven and earth praise him,
the seas and everything that moves in them.

Isaiah 50:6-9

and my cheeks to those who pull out the beard;
I hid not my face
from disgrace and spitting.
7 But the Lord God helps me;
therefore I have not been disgraced;
^qtherefore I have set my face like a flint,
and I know that I shall not be put to shame.
8 ^rHe who vindicates me is near.
Who will contend with me?
Let us stand up together.
Who is my adversary?
Let him come near to me.
9 ^sBehold, the Lord God helps me;
who will declare me guilty?
Behold, all of them will wear out like a garment;
the moth will eat them up.
