Some manuscripts end the book with 16:8; others include verses 9–20 immediately after verse 8. At least one manuscript inserts additional material after verse 14; some manuscripts include after verse 8 the following: But they reported briefly to Peter and those with him all that they had been told. And after this, Jesus himself sent out by means of them, from east to west, the sacred and imperishable proclamation of eternal salvation. These manuscripts then continue with verses 9–20

The Ascension

6So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, aawill you at this time abrestore the kingdom to Israel?” 7He said to them, ac“It is not for you to know adtimes or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8But you will receive aepower afwhen the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and agyou will be ahmy witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and aiSamaria, and ajto the end of the earth.” 9And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, akhe was lifted up, and ala cloud took him out of their sight.

Ephesians 4:8-10

8Therefore it says,

am“When he ascended on high anhe led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”
The Greek word anthropoi can refer to both men and women

9( apIn saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into aqthe lower regions, the earth?
Or  the lower parts of the earth?
10He who descended is the one who also asascended atfar above all the heavens, that he might aufill all things.)
