The Ascension

6So when they had come together, they asked him, “Lord, acwill you at this time adrestore the kingdom to Israel?” 7He said to them, ae“It is not for you to know aftimes or seasons that the Father has fixed by his own authority. 8But you will receive agpower ahwhen the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and aiyou will be ajmy witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and akSamaria, and alto the end of the earth.” 9And when he had said these things, as they were looking on, amhe was lifted up, and ana cloud took him out of their sight. 10And while they were gazing into heaven as he went, behold, aotwo apmen stood by them in aqwhite robes, 11and said, arMen of Galilee, why do you stand looking into heaven? This Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, aswill atcome in the same way as you saw him go into heaven.”

Ephesians 4:8-10

8Therefore it says,

au“When he ascended on high avhe led a host of captives,
and he gave gifts to men.”
The Greek word anthropoi can refer to both men and women

9( axIn saying, “He ascended,” what does it mean but that he had also descended into aythe lower regions, the earth?
Or  the lower parts of the earth?
10He who descended is the one who also baascended bbfar above all the heavens, that he might bcfill all things.)
