5Lead me in your atruth and teach me,
for you are the God of my salvation;
for you I wait all the day long.

1 hMy son, iif you receive my words
and treasure up my commandments with you,
2making your ear attentive to wisdom
and inclining your heart to understanding;
3yes, if you call out for insight
and raise your voice jfor understanding,
4if you seek it like ksilver
and search for it as for lhidden treasures,
5then myou will understand the fear of the Lord
and find the knowledge of God.
6For nthe Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding;
7he stores up sound wisdom for the upright;
he is oa shield to those who pwalk in integrity,

18But qthe path of the righteous is like rthe light of dawn,
which shines sbrighter and brighter until tfull day.
