3 But you, O Lord, are fa shield gabout me,
my glory, and hthe lifter of my head.

and he janswered me from his kholy hill.  Selah
5 I llay down and slept;
I woke again, for the Lord sustained me.
6I mwill not be afraid of many thousands of people
who have nset themselves against me all around.
7 oArise, O Lord!
Save me, O my God!
For you pstrike all my enemies on the cheek;
you qbreak the teeth of the wicked.
8 rSalvation belongs to the Lord;
your blessing be on your people!  Selah

A Psalm of David.

1 Hear my prayer, O Lord;
sgive ear to my pleas for mercy!

4Therefore my spirit zfaints within me;
my heart within me is appalled.
5 aaI remember the days of old;
abI meditate on all that you have done;
I ponder the work of your hands.
6 acI stretch out my hands to you;
admy soul thirsts for you like aea parched land.  Selah
7 afAnswer me quickly, O Lord!
agMy spirit fails!
ahHide not your face from me,
ailest I be like those who go down to the pit.
8 ajLet me hear in the morning of your steadfast love,
for in you I aktrust.
alMake me know the way I should go,
amfor to you I lift up my soul.
9 anDeliver me from my enemies, O Lord!
I have fled to you for refuge.
