Psalms 30:4-12

4 Sing praises to the Lord, O you ^ahis saints,
and ^bgive thanks to his holy name. ^{▼▼Hebrew to the memorial of his holiness (see Exodus 3:15)}
5 ^dFor his anger is but for a moment,
and ^ehis favor is for a lifetime. ^{▼▼Or and in his favor is life}
^gWeeping may tarry for the night,
but ^hjoy comes with the morning.
6 As for me, I said in my ⁱprosperity,
“I shall never be ^jmoved.”
7 By your favor, O Lord,
you made my ^kmountain stand strong;
you ^lhid your face;
I was ^mdismayed.
8 To you, O Lord, I cry,
and ⁿto the Lord I plead for mercy:
9 “What profit is there in my death, ^{▼▼Hebrew in my blood}
if I go down to the pit? ^{▼▼Or to corruption}
Will ^qthe dust praise you?
Will it tell of your faithfulness?
10 ^rHear, O Lord, and be merciful to me!
O Lord, be my helper!”
11 You have turned for me my mourning into ^sdancing;
you have loosed my sackcloth
and clothed me with gladness,
12 that my ^tglory may sing your praise and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to you forever!
