In the Day of Trouble I Seek the Lord

1 I gcry aloud to God,
aloud to God, and he will hear me.
2 hIn the day of my trouble I seek the Lord;
in ithe night my jhand is stretched out without wearying;
my soul krefuses to be comforted.
3When I remember God, I lmoan;
when I meditate, my spirit faints.  Selah
4 You hold my eyelids open;
I am so mtroubled that I cannot speak.
5I consider nthe days of old,
the years long ago.
6I said,
Hebrew lacks  I said
“Let me remember my psong in the night;
let me qmeditate in my heart.”
Then my spirit made a diligent search:
7“Will the Lord rspurn forever,
and never again sbe favorable?

Isaiah 38:10-14

10 I said, tIn the middle
Or  In the quiet
of my days
I must depart;
I am consigned to the gates of Sheol
for the rest of my years.
11I said, I shall not see the Lord,
the Lord vin the land of the living;
I shall look on man no more
among the inhabitants of the world.
12My dwelling is plucked up and removed from me
wlike a shepherd’s tent;
xlike a weaver yI have rolled up my life;
zhe cuts me off from the loom;
aafrom day to night you bring me to an end;
13 abI calmed myself

14 Like aea swallow or a crane I chirp;
afI moan like a dove.
agMy eyes are weary with looking upward.
O Lord, I am oppressed; ahbe my pledge of safety!

Isaiah 38:17

17 aiBehold, it was for my welfare
that I had great bitterness;
ajbut in love you have delivered my life
from the pit of destruction,
akfor you have cast all my sins
behind your back.

Isaiah 49:14

14 But Zion said, al“The Lord has forsaken me;

Ezekiel 37:11
