31he foresaw and spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, that ache was not abandoned to Hades, nor did his flesh see corruption. 32This Jesus adGod raised up, aeand of that we all are witnesses. 33 afBeing therefore agexalted at the right hand of God, and having received from ahthe Father aithe promise of the Holy Spirit, ajhe has poured out this that you yourselves are seeing and hearing. 34For akDavid did not ascend into the heavens, but he himself says,

al“‘The Lord said to my Lord,
Sit at my right hand,
35until I make your enemies your footstool.”’
36Let all the house of Israel therefore know for certain that amGod has made him anboth Lord and Christ, this Jesus aowhom you crucified.”

37Now when apthey heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, aqwhat shall we do?” 38And Peter said to them, arRepent and asbe baptized every one of you atin the name of Jesus Christ aufor the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive avthe gift of the Holy Spirit. 39For awthe promise is for you and axfor your children and for all aywho are far off, everyone azwhom the Lord our God calls to himself.” 40And with many other words he bore witness and continued to exhort them, saying, baSave yourselves from this bbcrooked generation.” 41So those who received his word were baptized, and bcthere were added that day about three thousand souls.
