1 bFret not yourself because of evildoers;
be not cenvious of wrongdoers!

Jeremiah’s Complaint

1 iRighteous are you, O Lord,
when I complain to you;
yet I would plead my case before you.
jWhy does the way of the wicked prosper?
Why do all kwho are treacherous thrive?

Jeremiah 12:3

3 lBut you, O Lord, know me;
myou see me, and test my heart toward you.
nPull them out like sheep for the slaughter,
and set them apart for othe day of slaughter.

Habakkuk 1:13-14

13You who are pof purer eyes than to see evil
and cannot look at wrong,
qwhy do you idly look at traitors
and rremain silent when the wicked swallows up
the man more righteous than he?
14You make mankind like the fish of the sea,
like crawling things that have no ruler.
