Psalms 37:35-36

35 ^aI have seen a wicked, ruthless man,

36 But he passed away, ^{▼▼Or But one passed by} and behold, ^ehe was no more;
though I sought him, he could not be found.

Isaiah 10:8-14

8 for he says:
^f“Are not my commanders all kings?
9 ^gIs not ^hCalno like ⁱCarchemish?
Is not ^jHamath like ^kArpad?
^lIs not ^mSamaria like Damascus?
10 As my hand has reached to ⁿthe kingdoms of the idols,

like a bull I bring down those who sit on thrones.
14 My hand has found like a nest
the wealth of the peoples;
and as one gathers eggs that have been forsaken,
so I have gathered all the earth;
and there was none that moved a wing
or opened the mouth or chirped.”

Isaiah 36:4

4 And the Rabshakeh said to them, “Say to Hezekiah, ‘Thus says the ^ugreat king, the king of Assyria: On what do you rest this trust of yours?

Isaiah 36:18-19

18 Beware lest Hezekiah mislead you by saying, “The Lord will deliver us.” Has any of the gods of the nations delivered his land out of the hand of the king of Assyria? 19 ^vWhere are the gods of ^wHamath and ^xArpad? Where are the gods of Sepharvaim? ^yHave they delivered Samaria out of my hand?

Isaiah 37:11-13

11 Behold, you have heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, devoting them to destruction. And shall you be delivered? 12 ^zHave the gods of the nations delivered them, the nations that my fathers destroyed, ^aaGozan, ^abHaran, Rezeph, and the people of Eden who were in Telassar? 13 ^acWhere is the king of Hamath, the king of Arpad, the king of the city of Sepharvaim, the king of Hena, or the king of Ivvah?’”

Daniel 4:11
