Psalms 4:1

1 Answer me when I call, O God of my ^crighteousness!
You have ^dgiven me relief when I was in distress.
Be gracious to me and hear my prayer!

1 Hear a just cause, O Lord; ^fattend to my cry!
Give ear to my prayer from lips free of deceit!

6 I ^gcall upon you, for you will answer me, O God;
^hincline your ear to me; hear my words.

6 ⁱIn my distress I called upon the Lord;
to my God I cried for help.
From his ^jtemple he heard my voice,
and my cry to him reached his ears.

2 Incline your ear to me;
rescue me speedily!
Be ^ka rock of ^lrefuge for me,
a strong fortress to save me!

10 For my life is spent with sorrow,
and my years with sighing;
my strength fails because of my iniquity,
and ^mmy bones waste away.

20 But the wicked will perish;
the enemies of the Lord are like ⁿthe glory of the pastures;
they vanish—like ^osmoke they vanish away.
