Psalms 40:1-3

My Help and My Deliverer

To the choirmaster. A Psalm of David.

1 I ^awaited patiently for the Lord;
he inclined to me and ^bheard my cry.
2 He drew me up from ^cthe pit of destruction,
out of ^dthe miry bog,
and ^eset my feet upon a rock,
^fmaking my steps secure.
3 He put ^ga new song in my mouth,
a song of praise to our God.
Many will ^hsee and fear,
and put their trust in the Lord.

who walk, O Lord, in ^jthe light of your face,
